Introduction
This booklet was developed to help the individual homeowner participate in the design of their total backyard environment.

It isn't meant to take the place of a professional pool design consultant with knowledge of construction, government regulations, and the
aesthetic blending of pool design, materials, landscape, and structures. The best designed backyard is a cooperative experience between the homeowner and pool builder.

Don't be rushed into a pool design that ignores the rest of your backyard. A professional pool builder should consider your short term and long term plans for your backyard. Pushy and abusive sales tactics have no place in the pool construction process.

A quality pool isn't going to be the cheapest pool. A cheap pool, however, will always sacrafice quality for price. If you compromise on steel pattern, deck piers, gunite, and beam quality'l you've just cut into your pool's structural  integrity-something you'll regret later.

You will need a ruler for scaling, 1/8" grid paper, a perimeter wheel (available at your local office supply store), scratch paper, a pencil, and a special dream pools price reduction tool (an eraser!).

So enjoy yourself and call us with any questions you might have. At some time we will need to inspect your yard and review your design. But remember it's your pool and your timetable for when you build. We won't pressure you-when you're ready, we're ready!
